Historical Background of Palestine

Palestine is a region rich in cultural, religious, and historical significance dating back thousands of years. Its complex past is interwoven with ancient civilizations, religious traditions, and modern political struggles.

From the Canaanites and Philistines to Roman rule and the Islamic Caliphates, Palestine has seen centuries of change and conflict. In the 20th century, colonial mandates and global politics reshaped the landscape of the region, culminating in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The British Mandate (1920–1948), the 1948 Nakba, the 1967 Six-Day War, and subsequent peace processes have each left a lasting impact on Palestinian people and their quest for statehood and self-determination.

Today, the story of Palestine is still unfolding, as its people continue to face challenges while striving for freedom, dignity, and recognition on the world stage.
